Your Pet Paint-by-Numbers Kit Arrived. Start With One Clear Area.

A first-session routine for a kit that has arrived: check the reference, match one number, paint one clear area and leave a note for next time.
Paint containers with numbered lids. Color quantity varies by design.

Your pet’s eyes can wait. Start with one clearly numbered patch you can confidently match to its paint. Choose a readable area and make that your first small task.

1. Lay out the kit and find the directions

B2H’s one-pet kit includes a 40 × 50 cm numbered canvas, paints, brushes and a reference image. It is unframed. Lay out the parts and check that the image and contents match your order before painting.

Keep any preparation, cleaning and storage directions supplied with your paints beside you. Follow those directions for handling the paint and brushes as you work.

2. Choose one area you can read comfortably

Use the reference image to orient the canvas: which edge is the top, and where are the main shapes? In good light, find one area with a clearly readable number and a boundary you can follow.

A background patch can be a gentler starting point than a tiny eye or coat marking. Choose just that area for this session. You can leave the smaller details for later.

3. Match the number before opening a color

Read the canvas number and find its matching paint number using the kit’s labels and any color key supplied. Keep the label with its paint while you work; a similar-looking color is easy to pick up by mistake.

Can’t read a number or find its match? Leave that area unpainted and ask the seller. A close view of the unclear area and the relevant paint label may help explain the question. You can choose a different, clearly matched area instead.

4. Paint the area you chose

Prepare the paint and brush as the paint directions require. Use the matched color to fill the chosen area, following its printed boundary. Work slowly enough to keep the brush inside that area and neighboring numbers readable.

If you find an unclear boundary, leave that spot untouched and note its location for later.

Follow the paint’s instructions for drying and any later coats. There is no need to turn this first session into a deadline for the whole canvas.

5. Put it away with a next step

When your chosen area is finished, follow the paint directions for cleaning and storing the brush and color. Keep the reference image and labels together, and leave the canvas as the paint instructions require.

Copy a short note into your phone or notebook:

Today: [paint number and area I worked on]
Next: [one clear area to work on]
Question: [anything to check before continuing]

A progress photo is optional. One completed patch and a note about where to continue can be the whole session. You can return when you are ready.
