Start with the place a cat water fountain must fit, then check its actual power mode and the parts you will have to clean. What should you check before buying a cat water fountain?
1. Will it fit where your cat can use it?
Record the fountain's full width, depth and height, then compare them with the actual spot. Include room for your cat to approach, for you to lift the tray or reservoir, and for the parts to travel to the sink. A fountain that fits under a shelf may still be awkward to take apart there.
Check the drinking surface separately: overall product height is not necessarily drinking height. Tank capacity also does not establish how many days you can leave it without attention.
